    1. Ah. glad you asked! This is related to Greek Mythology and the story goes that Tithonus was the lover of Eos, Goddess of Dawn. He was kidnapped by Eos to be her lover, since he was a mortal she asked Zeus to make Tithonus immortal BUT she forgot to ask eternal youth for him. So, Tithonus lived on forever, grew older – shriveling and going senile with time. Eos lost all interest in him but death would not take him either. Hence, later on he was turned into a cicada left to eternally live and ‘babble’ as an insect.
